Hawaii Double Rainbow

Hawaii is an incredibly special place, and my family and I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to several of the islands over the years. Hawaii has no shortage of rainbows. It is, after all, known as the Rainbow State. However, capturing a double rainbow like this is serendipitous. After getting caught in a brief downpour, I was lucky enough to take this photo along the south shore of Kaua’i in December of 2019, not long before our world of travel was shut down due to COVID. I have kept this image on my phone in the months since and use it as a reminder to myself that there is hope for seeing this kind of rainbow again soon.
